Marscel Dot Films is named after Thomas McGovern's grandmothers, Marscel McGovern and Dorothy "Dot" Farrell. Thomas was raised in San Fransisco, CA but spend a lot of time in New Orleans, where his father grew up. After finishing school at San Francisco State and The Art Institute of San Francisco in 2013 Thomas moved to New Orleans full time. 

Marscel Dot Films is based between New Orleans and San Fransisco.
